The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour is heading back to Yorkshire. GUKPT Leeds runs from September 23 to October 4, and with every event on the live schedule carrying a guarantee, at least £550,000 is set to be won — headlined by a £1,000 Main Event with £200,000 guaranteed.

The Short Version
  • GUKPT Leeds runs September 23 – October 4, one of the last two stops before the Grand Final in mid-November.
  • The live guarantees add up to £550,000, with an extra £20,000 guaranteed in the online Closer on October 5–6.
  • The £1,000 Main Event guarantees £200,000 across three Day 1s, starting October 1.
  • Other highlights: the £250 Mini Main (£100,000 GTD), the £1,500 High Roller (£100,000 GTD) and the £150 Warm Up (£75,000 GTD).
  • Main Event satellites start from £1 online at Grosvenor Poker and GGPoker.

A Tenth Stop in Leeds

The GUKPT is in its 20th season, and this will be the 10th time Leeds has hosted a leg of the tour. Apart from the break forced by the COVID-19 pandemic, the city has been a fixture on the schedule every year since 2017. Only two legs remain before the Grand Final in mid-November, and Leeds is the next one.

The action starts on Wednesday, September 23, at 7:00 p.m. with a £60 satellite that awards at least 10 seats to both the £150 Warm Up and the £250 Mini Main. The first full event starts the next evening: the £150 GUKPT Warm Up, with a £75,000 guarantee spread across five Day 1 flights.

The Warm Up crowns its champion on Sunday, September 27, the same day the first of four £250 Mini Main flights begins. The Mini Main guarantees £100,000, matching the £1,500 High Roller that starts on September 30.

The £200,000 Main Event

The £1,000 GUKPT Leeds Main Event is the biggest tournament of the series, with a £200,000 guarantee. It has three starting flights: Day 1a on Thursday, October 1, then Day 1b and a turbo Day 1c on Friday, October 2. Late registration stays open into the early stages of Day 2 on October 3, and the winner will be decided on Sunday, October 4.

Players who don’t want to pay the full £1,000 have plenty of cheaper routes in. There are £110 live satellites throughout the series, and online satellites at Grosvenor Poker and GGPoker start from just £1. Thanks to the partnership between the two, anyone who wins a seat or buys into the Main Event through their GGPoker account will receive a 10% cash boost on their winnings.

Past GUKPT Leeds Main Event Champions

Harry Law won the first GUKPT Leeds Main Event in September 2014, collecting £32,500 when the buy-in was £550. The Main Event became a £1,000 tournament in 2022, when Christopher Johnson beat a field of 430 entries for £73,070 — still the largest turnout at the £1,000 price point.

The record prize belongs to Konstantinos Patsourakis. In October 2023, he beat 360 opponents and took home £78,419, still the most anyone has won in a GUKPT Leeds Main Event. The reigning champion is Keith Littlewood, who topped a field of 247 in May 2025 to win £40,440.

A Look Back at 2025

When the tour last visited Leeds, 11 events produced only 10 different champions. The reason was Keith Littlewood, who won the Main Event and also took down the £330 Mystery Bounty.

Two more players won over £20,000. Thomas Clack won the £1,650 High Roller for £31,570, and Robert Douras topped a field of 550 in the £250 Mini Main for £20,830.
