The trophies were only part of the story. In the June 18 $2,200 Mystery Bounty, which carried a $3 million guarantee, Lapka ran hot when it mattered most — pulling a $250,000 bounty and a $100,000 bounty out of the prize envelopes to dwarf the headline payouts from his two title wins.
