The World Series of Poker is stepping into the crypto era. In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, the Solana Foundation will serve as the official Presenting Sponsor of both the 2026 World Series of Poker and the 2026 WSOP Paradise — bringing blockchain payments directly to the felt for the first time in the series' history.
Beginning with the 57th annual summer festival at Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas, players will be able to buy tournament tickets using Solana, powered by MoonPay's payment infrastructure. It marks the first time WSOP entrants can purchase their seats directly with crypto — and thanks to Solana's technology, those buy-ins will carry zero processing fees.
♠️ What's new for players
Buy into WSOP events directly with crypto at zero processing fees, and — from December — collect winnings in stablecoins on Solana for near-instant payouts.

Crypto Buy-Ins and Instant Payouts
The integration goes beyond simply accepting a new payment method. At the 2026 WSOP Paradise in The Bahamas this December, tournament winners will be able to receive their settlements in stablecoins on Solana, giving them near-instant access to their winnings rather than waiting on traditional banking rails.
“Introducing Solana-powered buy-ins and payouts modernizes how money moves through the poker ecosystem and reduces friction for players around the world,” said Vibhu Norby, Chief Product Officer at the Solana Foundation.
“Poker players like to optimize their funds, and gravitate towards seamless, faster experiences. With Solana, players are able to buy-in with zero fees, and receive their winnings instantaneously, so we expect to see strong adoption of these offerings,” Norby added. “There is a huge opportunity to tap into this audience, and we look to grow both the Solana community and game of poker.”
MoonPay Commerce President Jim Walker framed the move as a natural evolution. “Crypto is a natural fit. By powering buy-ins and payouts through MoonPay on Solana, we're meeting that demand directly: faster, borderless payments that make it simple for players anywhere to take their seat at the world's biggest tables,” he said.
More Than Just Payments
The partnership extends off the tables, too. The Solana ecosystem will host exclusive hospitality events at the Paris and Horseshoe venues in Las Vegas, plus a premier experience during WSOP Paradise in The Bahamas this winter. The two sides have also teased collaborative onchain poker products, developed together with WSOP, still to come.
The timing dovetails with poker's biggest stage: television coverage of the 2026 WSOP Main Event is set to begin on July 2.
